Future plays 'Wicked' on Fallon – watch
Ted Cruz was in the audience… he'd have dug this, right?
Getty James Hendicott, 15th April 2016 Atlanta rapper Future performed on Fallon last night as Ted Cruz looked on from the audience – sadly the Republican candidate's reaction to the performances wasn't captured.
The track is taken from Future's January mixtape 'Purple Reign', the newest in a series of mixtapes that include his US chart-topping 2015 release 'DS2'.
Future released three mixtapes in 2015 alone: ’Beast Mode’ in January, ’56 Nights’ in March and ‘What a Time to Be Alive’ in September. The latter, a collaboration between himself and Drake, also topped the charts in the US and reached the top 10 in the UK.
Following the series, Future premiered his fourth studio album 'EVOL' – which also features the work of The Weeknd and Southside – on DJ Khalad's Beats1 show earlier this year.
Future is currently being sued by Ciara, the mother of one of his four children, for defamation, slander, and libel, in part surrounding the rapper's comments about the R&B singer's qualities as a mother.

Future also starred in Netflix documentary 'Organised Noize', released earlier this year.
Organized Noize, AKA Rico Wade, Ray Murray, and Sleepy Brown were producers of many influential hip hop and R'n'B tracks of the '90s, masterminding a string of hits for the likes of Ludacris, Outkast, TLC, Puff Daddy and more.
As Pitchfork reports,'The Art of Organized Noize' – launching through Netflix on March 22 – takes a detailed view of the trio's influence on modern day hip hop, their reported $21million deal with Interscope and their rise to the top of the chain.
