'Game Of Thrones' actor based his character on Liam Gallagher
Iwan Rheon also channeled The Joker and Dennis The Menace for Ramsay Bolton
HBO David Renshaw, 19th April 2016 Iwan Rheon has revealed that he based his Game of Thrones character on Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
Rheon plays Ramsay Bolton in the hit series, which returns to screens for a sixth season on Sunday night (April 24).
Speaking about his villainous character, who is married to Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) in the show, Rheon said that he pitched Bolton "somewhere between the Joker from The Dark Knight and Dennis the Menace, with a little bit of Liam Gallagher in there".
Meanwhile, British actor Jonathan Pryce also told Radio Times about his character High Sparrow's and being compared to Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.
“It was all with good intentions; he had lived a very debauched life, he was very rich, and he woke up one morning and said, ‘This is wrong’ and walked out with bare feet. He’s stayed barefooted ever since,” Pryce said, explaining his character's defining quirk.
“It’s funny, or perhaps ironic, but if you look on the internet there are images of me and Jeremy Corbyn as a looky-likey. That could be interesting. A faith militant!”
A number of spoilers have leaked ahead of S6, most recently when Ian McShane talked about the fate of his character after joining the cast for the new episodes.
McShane is not the only cast member to give away secrets this year. Sophie Turner revealed that her character Sansa Stark won't be killed off in the series while Emilia Clarke may have revealed the fate of character Jon Snow at a recent awards ceremony.
Series showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss recently promised that S6 is "the best yet" and contains the biggest battle scene to date.
