Harry Styles attended a Brexit debate at the House Of Lords today

The news comes amidst a Labour Lords spokesman’s claims the Government currently has no direction

Getty Rob McCallum, 5th July 2016 One Direction star Harry Styles has reportedly been at the House Of Lords today, sitting in on a Brexit debate after Britain’s decision to leave the EU.
Styles was invited by Professor Robert Winston, a Labour Lord whose film director son Ben has worked on music videos and documentaries with One Direction.
A Labour Lords spokesman said that Styles was present at the daily question-time session, during which Lord Winston made an intervention, according to ITV News.
The spokesman added: “My theory, however, is that he was in for the start of the two-day debate on Brexit and its consequences. He's clearly heard that the Government has no direction.”

The presence of Styles at the House Of Lords is the second celebrity appearance in Parliament recently, after The Matrix star Keanu Reeves surprised MPs by watching proceedings in the Commons chamber last week (June 28).
Last month (June), it was revealed that Styles has reportedly signed a solo deal with Columbia Records, the label that released One Direction’s music in the US. According to Billboard, who heard about the deal through unnamed “sources”, there is currently no “timeline” in place for his debut solo album, which has been rumoured since last year.
That news followed The Sun’s reports that Styles was set to “cut all One Direction ties” and leave Simon Cowell’s record label, following revelations from his co-writer, Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, that Styles is working on songs which will “blow the socks off the world”.
