Listen as Alt-J drummer Thom Sonny Green announces debut solo album

‘High Anxiety’ follows appearance at Latitude Festival

Jenn Five/NME John Earls, 6th July 2016 Alt-J drummer Thom Sonny Green is to release his debut solo album.
Out on August 19, ‘High Anxiety’ is released on Green’s own record label Sudden, an imprint of Infectious.
A statement said Green was inspired by: “A long-abiding interest in cerebral, idiosyncratic electronica on an album that is warm, yet experimental; playful yet considered; superficially accessible yet simultaneously deep, with Green demonstrating his complete artistry as songwriter, producer and visual artist.”

The album sees Green create a video for each of the 21 songs, working with visual artist Nichola Farnan. It was made during the two-year tour for Alt-J’s second album ‘This Is All Yours’.
Geen will make his solo debut at Latitude, where Alt-J headlined as a band in 2015. There are currently no other shows scheduled for Green.
