PJ Harvey on course for her first number one album

Latest record could be her first ever UK number one album

Maria Mochnacz Sammy Maine, 18th April 2016 PJ Harvey could be on her way to claiming her first ever UK number one album. Releasing 'The Hope Six Demolition' last week, she's currently on course to nab the top spot.
The closest she ever got to a UK number one album was back in 1993, with 'Rid Of Me' peaking on the UK chart at number three.
Behind PJ Harvey's latest effort is a new entry for Santana’s latest album 'IV'. It's the band’s first album with the full early ‘70s lineup in 45 years and is set to be their highest-charting since 1999’s chart-topping 'Supernatural'.

Adele's '25' has slipped from number two to three, whilst Sia's 'This Is Acting' has moved up from number nine to number four.
Record Store Day releases also mean David Bowie’s third album 'The Man Who Sold The World' is at number eight, while a re-issue of Madonna’s 'Like A Virgin & Other Big Hits!' – originally released in Japan in 1984 – is at 40.
In the singles chart, it looks as though [a]Drake[a/] will be holding onto his top spot, with 'One Dance'.
