Roger Daltrey confirms The Who for mega festival featuring Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones

Neil Young and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters also rumoured for 'biggest concert in history'

Getty Luke Morgan Britton, 21st April 2016 The Who have been confirmed for what reports are calling "one of the biggest concerts in history", a festival bill also rumoured to include Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney.
It had previously been reported that Goldenvoice Entertainment, the promoters behind Coachella Festival, will hold the event in Indio, California (the same site as Coachella) this year between October 7-9.
As well as the aforementioned artists, Neil Young and Pink Floyd's Roger Waters have also reportedly signed up for the three-day event. The headline acts are expected to be paid $7 million each for their sets, according to the reports.
The Who's Roger Daltrey has now appeared to confirm the reports, telling Canada's Postmedia Network: "I think it’s us and Roger Waters on the same day. It’s a fantastic idea for a festival. It’s the greatest remains of our era."
"I hope a lot of normal fans can get tickets before they get snatched up," he added.
Reports have suggested that two acts will each night of the festival: Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney on the first, Rolling Stones and Neil Young on the second, and The Who and Roger Waters on the third.
Neil Young's longtime manager Elliot Roberts had previously spoken on the reports, telling The LA Times: "It's so special in so many ways. You won't get a chance to see a bill like this, perhaps ever again. It's a show I look forward to more than any show in a long time."

Meanwhile, Coachella Festival ran at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California last weekend (April 15-17) and returns next weekend (April 22-24). LCD Soundsystem are headlining alongside Guns N' Roses and Calvin Harris.
Kanye West made a surprise appearance at Coachella weekend one joining A$AP Rocky on stage during the latter rapper's set. The pair teamed up to perform 'Father Stretch My Hands Pt 1' from West's recent 'The Life Of Pablo' album.
